Town of Markham Summer Day Camps July 5, to September 3, 2010
Welcome to another year of summer day camps in the Town of Markham. Variety is the best word to describe our 2010 camp service. We offer a mix of sports, arts & culture and specialty camps for various age groups.
Camps are held at Markham community centres and cultural facilities in a one-week and two-week session format. Detailed information about camps, registration and student employment opportunities is available below or you can pick up a Summer Camp brochure at Town of Markham community centres and facilities.
Registration Information
The registration form for Summer Camps will be posted here prior to the Early Bird registration dates. Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, money order or cheque payable to the town of Markham. Payment must be dated for the day the registration form is completed.
Early Bird Registration - Register between February 8 - 14, 2010 and save 10% off the regular cost of camp.
Drop off your registration form between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at any of the following locations:

Full payment is required to receive the discount. Registrations received after the Early Bird Registration will be accepted up to the first day of camp.
Non-resident applicants must add $10.00 per registrant, per camp fee, per session.
2010 Summer Day Camp Information:
Important Notes for Parents
- Children must turn the minimum age required during 2010 to attend camp. Children registering in Kiddies Corner must be 3 years of age on the first day of the camp session they are registering for.
- Participants must wear appropriate clothing and equipment. Please apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before camp. A sun hat should be brought to camp each day and we recommend that all camper's belongings are labelled.
- Children must bring a lunch, snack and drinks daily.
- Parents are requested to notify the Camp Supervisor in writing if the participant must leave the camp during the day. This is for your child's protection.
- Any child that requires an Epi-pen must carry his/her own Epi-pen in a fanny pack at all times.
- A Camp Counsellor will contact you prior to the first day of a session to answer any questions you may have.
- All campers will receive a camp newsletter on the first day of each session which outlines the planned activities.
- Campers must be signed in and out of camp each day by their caregiver. Photo ID may be required.
Heat Alert
What happens when the Town of Markham issues a Heat Alert?
All summer camps will continue during a heat alert. Programming will be adapted to meet the safety needs of the campers. Extended water games and activities will take place on the camp site. Please note that not all of our camp facilities are air-conditioned.
