Our Mission
The Asset Management Team develops and implements corporate asset management strategic plans that address growth, risk management and sustainability. Our objective is to optimize the life cycle value and performance of assets while continuously improving service delivery and customer satisfaction.
The Asset Management Department has three key areas of responsibility:
- Asset Management:
We manage corporate asset inventories (infrastructure, facilities, fleet), conduct life cycle and condition assessments (life expectancy, predictive modelling, replacement cost) and improve operational performance through business process mapping and the implementation of best practices.
- Data Warehouse:
We maintain corporate asset inventories through the following information technology applications:
- Infrastructure Maintenance Management System
- Fleet Maintenance Management System
- Facility Maintenance Management System
- Geographic Information System (relating to Public Works Infrastructure)
- Facility Management:
The Asset Management Department manages 111 Town-owned buildings totalling 1.6 million square feet of as built space. We manage Town-wide programs including:
- Energy management
- Security
- Accessibility (Barrier Free Access)
- Facility maintenance
- Capital projects
